Factors, those out of our control and influence us are plenty, the overwhelming uncertainty in life bewilders the human race since centuries... the rise of the soothsayers, tarot-readers, the taantrics and the maantrics, hypthesizing a mystical control over these.the proposal of a 'higher destiny', a resignation to 'fate', the will of the devas, the demigods, the angels and the Gods....till logic overtook or so we liked to believe... the finer theory of 'karma' where thy action in the past birth control the perceived uncontrollable factor of today, elegant on occam's razor and cause-effect... placing us back as a controller, though somewhat helpless, dragging the burden of past!
vedanta then takes it spin, thy action-the concrete thought controls the so-called controlled factors, the subtler thought-the mission-the emotion-the intent-THE WILL controls the so-called uncontrollable... thy WILL modulates the uncertainty... Completely under your control, alas you do not know, the king of its kingship!
And it doesn't contradict the karma, the dharma of the Gods, but just takes a slight spin, that thy is the Lord of the universe, the universe being a manifestation of thy will.
